The Great Central Railway is the award winning heritage railway promoting the “Top Shed” project.

The project to reunite the two halves of the Great Central Railway, north and south. Both this project and the shed scheme require the refurbishment of the old canal bridge immediately north of the current shed, and the replacement of a section of embankment.
